Integration cannot succeed if the burden is solely on the newcomer. We encourage proactive and collective efforts from both newcomers and members of the receiving community to build a cohesive society in Canada. NexGen supports this process by facilitating connections and collaborations between newcomers and local residents, helping them learn about the community they reside in and strength it together.

New Roots: Community Action Series
Join our community action series that brings newcomers and Canadian-born locals together to build stronger communities through hands-on collaboration. From climate action projects to charity drives, we create spaces where newcomers can give back to the community, and build a sense of belonging through shared work.

Trainee TownHall: Roundtable Series
Our free roundtable series host a variety of topics with our community and industry partners, to cater to the diverse interests and academic backgrounds of newcomer undergraduate & graduate students. Topics include department-specific professional development, community engagement, & research collaborations.
